What do you like to do when you are not playing music?

Hiking, cycling, cooking and travelling.

At what age did you start playing your instrument?

When I was nine years old.

What was the most exciting concert you ever performed?

Schubert Octet in Zermatt and my first concert in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

What was the most awkward moment in your career?

The first concert with a professional Orchestra when I was 18 years old, and I forgot my reed case backstage… I had to leave the stage again and got an extra applause when I came back all alone.

What is your favourite piece of classical music?

Haydn’s „Die Schöpfung, Mozart’s „Gran Partita“

How did the last two Corona years influence your musical development?

Clearly fewer concerts than before… But I did play my Master Recital in Lausanne, and we founded the new Swiss “Ensemble Fokus” and played our first concerts in Brig, Fribourg and Wetzikon.
