What do you like to do when you are not playing music?

Sports, cinema and reading.

At what age did you start playing your instrument?

The violin when I was 4 years old, and the viola when I was 8 years old.

What was the most exciting concert you ever performed?

The 2020 Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, Piano Quintet with a.o. Mischa Maisky.

What was the most awkward moment in your career?

A coughing attack during the ending of Bruckner’s 9th Symphony.

What is your favourite piece of classical music?

I can’t decide.

How did the last two Corona years influence your musical development?

The focus during this time changed from making music together to working solo. Especially in the early stage, one was very much thrown back to oneself. I therefore used the time to work on my repertoire in peace and prepare myself for the time when everything would slowly return to normal again.
