Where do you study?

I study at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar.

What do you like to do when you are not playing music?

If I didn’t play music, I would be a designer since I have an interest in fashion.

At what age did you start playing your instrument?

I started learning an instrument, the violin, at the age of 5 at my mother’s suggestion.

What was the most exciting concert you ever performed?

What moved me most was playing Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, while I was one year in Korea playing in the Korean Symphony Orchestra.

What was the most awkward moment in your career?

When I played the Opera Turandot with a Korean Orchestra, there were only four violas at the time. This made me very nervous, so I played wrong notes.

What is your favourite piece of classical music?

My favourite works are „Hänsel und Gretel“ by Engelbert Humperdinck, „Don Juan“ Op. 20 by Richard Strauss and Bartok’s Viola Concerto No. 1.

How did the last two Corona years influence your musical development?

During Corona time, I didn’t go out that much anymore; I stayed home and was very concentrated on practising.

Which famous person would you like to have dinner with (from the past or the present)?

I would be happy if I could have dinner with Kirill Petrenko and Valentino Worlitzsch.
