SWISS WIND ACADEMY 
5–15 September 2026

On the occasion of its 22nd edition, the Zermatt Music Festival is pleased to present the third Swiss Wind Academy, aimed at young Swiss music students. Ten young musicians will be selected to take part in this unique academy, dedicated to the study of repertoire for wind quintet and wind dectet, as well as works for smaller ensembles. The selected musicians will receive daily coaching from the wind players of the Scharoun Ensemble (members of the Berlin Philharmonic), as well as Dominik Wollenweber (oboe) and Christina Fassbender (flute). At the end of the week, participants will perform as part of the Zermatt Music Festival.

TARGET GROUP

The Swiss Wind Academy is intended for outstanding young Swiss musicians, either of Swiss nationality or having lived in Switzerland for at least ten years. Swiss students studying abroad are also welcome.

Age: 18 to 28 years

INSTRUMENTATION

We are looking for the following musicians:
2 flautists
2 oboists
2 clarinetists
2 bassoonists
2 horn players
