The Ensemble Fokus was founded in 2022 by five young musicians and performs both as a traditional wind quintet and in more flexible formations. After a successful performance at the first Paul Juon Foundation Chamber Music Competition, the ensemble was awarded a prize and selected for a three-year sponsorship program by “Förderkreis Kammermusik Schweiz.” They are thrilled to perform across Switzerland, including at prestigious venues such as the Tonhalle Zürich, the Zermatt Festival, and the Kunsthalle Appenzell.

With members from Switzerland, Germany, and France, the ensemble has both a national and international outlook, regularly performing in various regions of Switzerland. Their mission is to make music accessible to all, forging a deep connection with audiences through innovative and engaging concert formats.

Ensemble Fokus is also a regular performer with Les Concerts du Coeur in western Switzerland, bringing music to elderly, ill, or differently-abled individuals. For young audiences, they offer the interactive project Der gestiefelte Kater (Puss in Boots).
