SWISS WIND ACADEMY

SWISS WIND ACADEMY
31 August – 8 September 2024

To mark its 20th anniversary, the Zermatt Music Festival is pleased to present the new Swiss Wind Academy for young Swiss students. Five young Swiss wind students will be selected to take part in a one-week academy organized specifically for the study of the wind quintet repertoire as well as works for smaller formations. These young musicians will receive daily tuition from the wind players of the Scharoun Ensemble (of the Berliner Philharmoniker) and will have the chance to play alongside them. At the end of the week, the musicians will perform as part of the Zermatt Music Festival in one Matterhorn Serenade and one concert at the Kapelle Riffelalp.
